The Superior General has received the mission to govern and to animate the Congregation according to the spirit of Mother Marie Eugénie and the traditions of the Congregation (Rule of Life 98). She is assisted by the general Councillors and together, they form a community and live in Auteuil, the Mother House of the Religious of the Assumption and the heart of the Congregation. They try to live in constant discernment and a search for the common good. They pay attention to the movements of the universal Church and the appeals of the world and ensure they are custodians of the charism when it reaches the different cultures they encounter. Visits to the provinces strengthen communion and religious life and stimulate mission.
