Faced with the challenges of our world, the Assumption recognizes that loving our time today and collaborating in social transformation according to evangelical values, requires an inescapable commitment to justice, peace, the care of creation and solidarity. This commitment is rooted in biblical sources and in the social doctrine of the Church.
Faith and life are inseparable. God's compassion for humanity and creation drives us to engage urgently and vitally alongside men and women who are committed to building a better, more supportive world that takes care of our "common home".
Justice, peace, care of creation and solidarity are part of our personal and community life projects and missions.
This requires us to continue to have conversion of heart, to have a consistent lifestyle; a permanent desire to re-read events with a critical sense and a look of faith, to discern and seek together the will of God that will lead us to make prophetic and courageous actions.
The last General Chapter of 2018 gave us the audacity to put ourselves at the service of life, to risk ourselves at the” peripheries” and to work effectively for ecology and migration.
