Christ is Risen, Alleluia! He is truly risen, Alleluia!
It is in this Easter joy that our Sister Marie Cécile Somé celebrated her silver jubilee of religious life yesterday, April 17, 2021, in our Novitiate house.
The celebration was presided over by His Excellency Mgr Raphaël DABIRE, Bishop of Diébougou in Burkina Faso, the Diocese of origin of our Sister Jubilarian.
Sister Marie-Cécile gave thanks for the Lord's fidelity to her for the past 25 years, surrounded by her human family but especially by the great Assumption family (Augustinians, Orantes, Oblates, Little Sisters and a delegation from our two communities in Burkina (Ouaga and Koudougou). We note also the presence of other religious Congregations and friends of the Novitiate community.
The word engraved in her ring: "That they may have life"! And her mystery: "the Risen Jesus". May our Sister Marie Cécile always witness to the Resurrection of Christ throughout her life!
