55 years ago, the first Community of Religious of the Assumption arrived in Querétaro (Mexico) to found a school. The participation of the parents in a truly lay-RA collaboration marked its beginnings with a great family spirit, joy and simplicity.
Ten years later, in 1976, the Sisters were involved in a car accident in which five of them lost their lives. The support and solidarity of the families of Querétaro was not long in coming.
Today we celebrate all this by unveiling the plaque in honour of Mother Montserrat Loring, r.a. in the house that bears her name. Her simplicity, humility and unconditional dedication have left their mark on the educational community of yesterday and today. Mother Montserrat was the Superior of the Community and the school's referent Sister at the time of the accident.
