🕊️ Passages of Hope was a powerful Holy Week event led by young Filipino-American adults in collaboration with the Assumption Sisters and St. Francis de Sales Parish. Together, we walked from Clark Park to the church in a Social Stations of the Cross, reflecting on Christ’s Passion and the injustices still present in our world today. Through prayer, witness, and community, we honored the journey of Jesus and stood in solidarity with all who continue to suffer. ✝️💜
Passages of Hope is a prayerful, justice-centered version of the Stations of the Cross, often led by young people—in this case, young Filipino-American adults in collaboration with the Assumption Sisters and St. Francis de Sales Parish.
It typically takes place during Holy Week and is called a “Social Stations of the Cross” because it connects the traditional journey of Christ’s Passion to modern-day struggles for justice, dignity, and human rights. Each station highlights a contemporary issue—such as poverty, immigration, racism, or violence—and invites participants to reflect, pray, and respond with compassion.
