“Come and See”: Five young women take a new step on their vocational journey

eventTuesday, 25 November 2025

On 22 November, on the eve of the Solemnity of Christ the King of the Universe, the Province of Central Africa celebrated a moment filled with hope. Five young women — Florence, Pascaline, Esther, Angel and Rosaline — officially made their entrance into the postulancy of the Congregation of the Religious of the Assumption.

They were accompanied by the Provincial Superior, the aspirants and sisters from various communities of Kinshasa, sharing in a simple yet profound celebration marked by deep joy. It was also a moment to give thanks to God for the call that continues to resonate in the hearts of so many young African women who long to dedicate their lives to the service of the Kingdom.

This new step marks the beginning of a stage in which the postulants enter more deeply into Assumption life: they discover the spirituality, deepen their prayer, and learn to live in community. It is a time of searching, listening, and personal and spiritual growth.

For many young people, the question of vocation remains open. The experience of these five young women reminds us that God continues to call today, in the midst of the world, inviting each person to discover who they are called to be. Their “yes” inspires us to look within and ask ourselves: What dream of God wants to take shape in my life?

The Assumption family gives thanks for their journey and invites everyone to accompany these new postulants in prayer, so that they may continue forward with courage, joy and confidence.
