On February 9th, Instituto Asunción de México celebrated its 70th anniversary—a deeply meaningful moment to honor our history, reflect on our present, and dream about our future.

It was a special day that brought together various members of our community, including religious sisters, the Board of Directors, current and former executive committees, parents from different generations, students, alumni, faculty, administrative staff, and dear friends of Asunción.

Celebrating seven decades of dreams, efforts, and achievements, the school has remained committed to its mission of forming generations of students with a strong critical sense—free and responsible individuals. Through the Asunción Pastoral Pedagogical Model, the institution has emphasized both personal and communal vocations oriented toward solidarity, justice, peace, respect for creation, and the transformation of their reality, wherever they may be.

It was a day to give thanks, remember, reconnect, share life, and continue weaving dreams as the Asunción community.

General Director Tere Méndez Padilla expressed special gratitude:“To our dear Religious Sisters, whose example of dedication, faith, and commitment inspires us daily to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, on building His Kingdom, on Mary, and on Saint Marie Eugenie. Thank you for being a beacon of hope that guides us in our educational mission.

I also extend our deepest gratitude to all the laypeople who have placed their trust in this school and have worked with dedication and love to build a community full of life, friendship, and learning. It is thanks to you that we continue to create a community that humanizes and transforms every day.”

May the grace of this celebration continue to inspire each of the Asunción missions around the world.
