In the spirit of Laudato Si and transformative education, we educate our students to protect creation, to take care of the environment. In Kinshasa, we live in an environment full of non-degradable waste. Moreover, in the DRC, thousands of trees are cut down every day. The Laudato Si week was an opportunity for us to launch a campaign: "Educating to care for the environment, a challenge for the transformation of our society". Several activities were carried out, including a Eucharist to pray for the earth on 25 May, and awareness-raising for teachers and students through conferences and discussions on 26 May. We planted trees at the school and in a village on the 27th. On the 28th, it was a school outing with the objective of zero plastic. We cleaned up the avenues and gutters of the neighbourhood, collecting 30 bags of 100 kilos of waste.
