The Assumption Sisters of Central Africa Welcome Four New Vocations

T eventTuesday, 06 October 2026

On October 1st, 2026, the feast day of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, the Assumption Sisters of Central Africa were filled with joy as they welcomed four postulants who entered the postulate at the community of Limeté in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This beautiful coincidence with the feast day of Saint Thérèse holds profound spiritual significance. She whom the Church venerates as the « patroness of the missions » and who dedicated her life to contemplation and divine love inspires those who, from this day forward, walk the path of religious consecration.

The arrival of these four postulants represents a deep expression of trust in divine Providence and a generous response to the Lord's call. They commit themselves to living the fundamental values of our Assumptionist charism: union with Jesus Christ, love for the Church, and the practice of justice and charity.

The Limeté community welcomes these future sisters with hearts full of gratitude. This new chapter in the lives of these young women symbolizes the hope the Church places in them and the trust we all place in Christ's redemptive love.

We invite all our communities and the faithful to join us in prayer to accompany these four new postulants throughout their formation and their gradual discovery of religious life.

We give thanks for these vocations!
