This October, our school in Águilas hosted the annual meeting of school leaders from across the Province. This gathering takes place every year, bringing together general directors and some members of the leadership teams from each campus.
Around 20 people took part—sisters and lay collaborators in shared mission—from the schools of Águilas, Querétaro, Guayaquil, and Milleret School. We were also joined by representatives of two schools located in marginalized neighborhoods with which we collaborate: one in León (Mexico) and the other in Muisne (Ecuador).
The Provincial accompaniment team for schools convened these days to:
Share the challenges and achievements of each school, and what nurtures our hope.
Revisit each school’s progress regarding the agreements made during the 2024 meeting in Ecuador.
Reflect on the themes of Synodality, Culture of Care, and Inclusive Schools.
Revisit and deepen the meaning of the Assumption educational vision as expressed in Eco-Assumption, Manila, the 2024 Chapter Document, the Provincial Project, and the Educational Model (MPPA).
Immerse ourselves in the Águilas campus to experience firsthand the spirit of social commitment of teachers and students, the inclusion committee, and to discover some experiences based on the Service-Learning methodology.
Work together to build Assumption criteria that identify us and will help each school embody more fully the Assumption educational charism, through clear and systematic indicators and certification rubrics.
All of this was enriched by joyful and fraternal moments—spontaneous sharing, cultural exchanges, and visits—that allowed us to appreciate Mexico’s rich cultural heritage.
“Being part of the School Leaders’ Meeting was, above all, a gift. Sharing those days with the Religious of the Assumption and with lay people who accompany the mission from different roles made me feel part of something much bigger than my own work. We are united by the same spirit, the same desire to educate through the Assumption charism, always seeking the good of our students and the entire educational community.
Those were days of intense work, constructive dialogue, active listening, and deep reflection—but above all, days of synodality. Together, we sought to keep shaping the vision and mission of our Mexico–Ecuador Province, asking ourselves how to keep the meaning of our vocation alive in these current times.
This space allowed us to celebrate what we have achieved, to acknowledge our progress, and to look ahead at the challenges that remain. The human and cultural exchange was immense: listening to other voices, discovering different realities, finding common ground, and feeling that, amid diversity, we share the same horizon.
I return to my work with a full heart and the deep conviction that this journey is better when we walk it together—with faith, joy, and the certainty that educating through the Assumption charism remains a beautiful way to transform lives through Gospel values.”

We concluded with grateful hearts, especially toward Águilas School, for their warm hospitality and countless thoughtful details that made us feel at home, enabling both intense work and meaningful moments of shared life. These encounters continue to strengthen the bonds that have been woven among us over the years.
