A Journey in the Ark

A eventThursday, 03 April 2025

Last week, Sr. Phuong, AMAs Katherine and Emily, and AMA Director Sandy took a road trip to visit the L’Arche communities in Haverhill, MA—just about an hour from Worcester. And what a joyful adventure it was!

At LBN Culinary Collaborative, we came together to prepare a delicious Italian meal, thoughtfully chosen by one of the adult participants—Chicken Marsala, Creamy Orzo with Spinach, and Caesar Salad. Sr. Phuong lent her culinary skills to meal prep, while Katherine and Emily tackled the dishes with bright smiles. Sandy, the AMA director, shared a special moment with a participant as they carefully pulled thyme leaves for the Chicken Marsala. We also packed up meals to go, ensuring that even more people could enjoy the wonderful food.

Later, we gathered for a mouthwatering taco dinner at one of the Haverhill L’Arche communities, where we were welcomed with open arms. The warmth, love, and hospitality of the residents and staff made us feel instantly at home. Every moment was filled with laughter, gratitude, and the simple joy of being together.

We left with full hearts, grateful for the connections we made and the memories we shared. We hope to be back soon!
