Communicating Faith in the Age of Social Media: An Inspiring Challenge

C eventFriday, 15 August 2025

In a world where millions of messages are posted on social media every day, faith is also seeking its place. The video “Communicating Faith in the Age of Social Media”, created by committed young people from the Province of Central America and Cuba, invites us to discover how the Gospel can resonate powerfully on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.

The message is clear: communicating from faith is not just about saying beautiful words, but about speaking from the heart. It is about sharing hope, being authentic, and making God's love visible in every gesture and every word. Through short and genuine testimonies, the video shows how many young people live out their evangelizing vocation in the digital world.

This vision is closely aligned with Pope Francis’s message for the 2023 World Day of Social Communications, where he reminds us that “communicating cordially means that those who listen feel welcomed and understood” (Message for the 57th World Day of Social Communications). It also echoes the document Towards Full Presence (Dicastery for Communication, 2023), which encourages us to build digital spaces as places of encounter and community.

Because yes—social media can be sacred ground. Spaces where the message of Jesus breaks through with creativity, closeness, and truth.

And you—how do you communicate your faith online?
