CPAE

C eventWednesday, 03 July 2024

Dear sisters and all members of AT:

After a long period of “silence” from CPAE, we are happy to share with you some good news. The life of groups and communities of AT stays alive and has grown despite the pandemic, lockdowns, quarantines, and all other words that have invaded our life and speaking since 2020.

Please allow me to tell you about the promised international gathering. In August 2019, we dreamt about holding it in the autumn 2021, but the pandemic happened and asked from us a time of reflection. But now, I would like to announce that  the international Assumption Together gathering will finally happen in 2022. We hope that the international health situation will allow us to have it in Auteuil (Paris). The representatives of the provinces, sisters, and lay people, will come with the result of a journey lived in Assumption Together, in each of the realities of the provinces.

In 2020, the members of the CPAE have tried to get in touch with the provinces under their responsibilities, to share the experiences, and feel the needs. It was such a joy and blessing to meet with the representatives (lay people and sisters) of almost all the provinces through Zoom.

Next, some months ago, to stand in place of Rodrigo Naranjo, the CPAE welcomed its new member - Rosario Alfaro of Mexico . This new team, decided to organize CPAE monthly meetings of preparation, to propose to the communities’ various topics related to the theme of the international meeting: “Connecting with our roots, going back to the sources”.

The objective is to work in collaboration with "local groups". The meeting in 2022 will be the fruit of a long journey together. We will have to deepen themes, share resources and experiences, and have live online meetings. In the coming months we will share with you some possibilities of reflection on the joy of our spirituality in the newness of our times.

Thank you to each community for being an active and for allowing yourselves to be transformed by the aspects of our charism that speak to us today.
