E eventSaturday, 18 April 2026

Project Context

The Religieuses de l’Assomption of Madagascar have recently taken over the management of Saint Michel College in Mahazoarivo, located in southeastern Madagascar, at the request of the Bishop of the Diocese of this rural commune. Upon their arrival, they faced significant challenges in the administrative functioning of the school, particularly within the secretariat.

The lack of computer equipment has been a constant obstacle for both administrative management and the daily work of teachers.

An Urgent Need for School Operations

Currently, the college does not have computers or a printer, forcing administrative staff and teachers to travel to a larger, more distant city to print official documents, exams, and teaching materials. These trips result in time loss, additional expenses, and unnecessary strain, especially in a context marked by widespread poverty and limited financial resources.

Project Objectives

The project aims to purchase 10 computers and one printer, significantly improving administrative organization, facilitating teachers’ work, and ensuring the proper functioning of the school. This equipment is essential to strengthen the educational mission of Saint Michel College and to serve the local community effectively.

Educational and Organizational Impact

Having a properly equipped secretariat will enable more efficient management, reduce unnecessary expenses, and improve staff working conditions. In the long term, this project will reinforce the school’s educational structure and provide better learning opportunities for students.
