We would like to share about a very special group that arrives early every morning to work with great commitment and responsibility. This group brings together people from various roles and backgrounds: some work in administration, others in coordination, some in teaching—and of course, our dear religious sisters are always present. Each one carries out their responsibilities faithfully. Days are often fast-paced and demanding. Sometimes the stress and worries pile up, yet each person has chosen to be part of a team we call the RED team. This team (32 members) has grown over different school years and moments—often around a shared meal! Some no longer work with us but continue to weave connections in the RED. We have all been drawn by the gift of discovering more deeply the Assumption charism, collaborating with our sister schools, and nurturing a sense of family.
We are all part of EnREDaLA (Latin American Network of Assumption Schools), specifically the team representing it at the Assumption Institute of Mexico in Mexico City. For us, each member is a missionary of hope, for in every meeting we draw from the international life of the Assumption, strengthening our identity, lifestyle, and spirituality, striving each day to make the Gospel come alive.
This Assumption way of being is seen in the simplicity and warmth of our relationships: we are people who greet, smile, embrace, and support one another. We love gathering to give thanks for each person’s life on their birthday, celebrating with shared meals where everyone contributes generously as they can. We are aware of all the blessings we have received and of the importance of living community even amid the busyness of life—for a life walked together is the most meaningful one.
When someone faces a difficult moment, we unite in prayer; we seek to offer gestures of kindness, staying attentive to how we can help. As a team, we have lived through times of loss, and prayer remains our bond of strength. We strive to accompany through presence, messages of comfort, and simple acts of care. We always go out to meet our brothers and sisters in faith, united by the conviction that we are family. The RED’s motto captures and inspires us to remain a simple witness of Jesus’ love among us: “As a community we share, and as an Assumption family we live.”
