More and more people are reading us

M eventFriday, 16 October 2026

Since we changed the website, we have begun measuring the visits to each article. assumpta.org reaches sisters, lay people and people from many countries, in Spanish, French and English. We have looked at these data calmly and we wish to share what they tell us.

What the figures tell us

From the change of website until now, we have published more than 2,690 articles, which have received more than three million visits. Since Holy Week 2025 we have published more, and each new article receives, every month, more visits than those published before that moment: more than double the average.

A complete reading is not the same as a visit. We know how many people arrive, but not how much they read or what they take away. That is why the data serve us as an indication, not as a measure of what a text is worth.

Two kinds of articles

On the website there are two kinds of articles, and each does a different job.

The articles that report what happens in the provinces. News, accounts of a meeting, a celebration, a project with young people, a community that welcomes. Thanks to them we see that the Assumption is alive in many countries. When we read what our sisters in another province are living, we feel part of something greater.

The articles that convey Assumptionist thought. Reflections on the charism, on the Gospel, on Assumptionist spirituality or on our Foundress. These texts age more slowly: a reflection published years ago may still help someone today.

The data point in the same direction. Among the most-read texts on the site are reflections on Saint Augustine and on liturgical seasons such as Christmas, which continue to receive visits years after publication. News is read in the moment; reflections endure over time.

What relates to our spirituality

Our spirituality is born of communion: of looking at the world with God’s eyes and of sharing what we live. Writing and reading on assumpta.org is one way of living that communion. The one who writes a chronicle from her province and the one who reads it from another continent share the same mission.

There is also a teaching on detachment. Measuring the reach of what we do is reasonable, but it is not the most important thing. An article may be read by a thousand people or by ten, and in both cases it can touch a heart.

That the numbers grow gives us joy, and at the same time asks something more of us: a metanoia in the way we communicate, care for the truth of what we tell, and synodality, that is, walking together, sisters and lay people, writing and reading.

An invitation

We thank each member of the volunteer team who, with generosity and perseverance, write for us and make it possible for these words to reach more people.

If you feel the desire to write and to share how you live the spirituality of the Assumption, write to us. A simple story can encourage many people, and what is lived in your province or in your community also deserves to be told.

Every published word is a seed. We do not always know where it falls, but we do know to whom it wishes to reach: everyone.

(*) The images in this article were generated with artificial intelligence. We preferred illustrations to stock photos of computers or analytics charts, because we want to speak about ideas that involves people, words and community, not about numbers.

The seed and the book: We wanted to represent the word that bears fruit, and the idea that we do not always know where it falls.

The table with hands of different ages: We wanted to represent the idea of walking together, synodality, without specific faces.
