Assomption France: An Education Network, Unveiling Talents
Assomption France is an educational network bringing together 16,574 young people and nearly 1,600 adults, all engaged in a project that fosters a positive outlook on the world and contributes to building a more just, humane, and supportive society.
At the core of the educational communities in our 15 institutions across France lies the Assumption Apostolic and Educational Project. This common mission unites both religious and lay people in a transformative educational endeavor.
"Thinking Big" means:
In a family spirit, our dynamic and growing network welcomes these new school leaders. Each of these significant moments is linked to the start-of-year Catholic Education Mass in their diocese:
In August 2024, Sophie Liottet received her mission for Assomption Saint Gervais.
In September 2024, Sandrine Widemann and Emmanuel Noisette at Assomption Bondy; Richard Grille at Assomption Bordeaux; Jean-François Barbin at Assomption Mongré de Villefranche-sur-Saône; and Jacques Monnier and Marie-Anne Sorlin at Assomption Lyon.
In October 2024, Sébastien Trojnar assumed his position at Assomption Orléans.
As stated in the Statute of Catholic Education in France: “With the pastoral responsibility conferred by the mission letter, the head of the institution is in charge of the educational, pedagogical, administrative, and material aspects of the institution” (Article 145).
May this new mission continue to reveal talents! As emphasized in our Apostolic and Educational Project, we strive to “prioritize the community dimension in all educational actions: working as a team, being attentive to each person's contributions, and learning from each other,” thus promoting the integral formation of individuals and the community.
