NEWS FROM THAILAND
Serra International, an organization of Catholic laypeople devoted to promoting vocations to the ministerial priesthood and consecrated life, has marked its 80th global meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand from June 22 to 25, 2023. Our two sisters, Sr. Maria Rosa Medina from Thailand and Sr. Mary Ignatius Vedua from the Philippines were delegates from the Asia Pacific Province of the Religious of the Assumption to join this convention.
Serra International is the only lay organization aggregated to a primary pontifical work – the Pontifical Work for Priestly Vocations – to encourage and coordinate efforts to promote vocations to the sacred priesthood of the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Young Adults Hang Out in Osaka, Japan was inspired by the Philippine online version, “Hang Out with Purple Dots.”

There are currently 12 young adults who expressed their desire to be accompanied in their vocation journey.

NEWS FROM VIETNAM
Assumption Youth in Vietnam is one of the main apostolates of Le Van Sy Community in reaching out to the young students from other provinces to have a good place to study and a healthy environment to train themselves to become real women of the family, society and the church.
They are also part of Assumption Youth Families program which is organized by the Augustinian of the Assumption. They join many activities which help them in spiritual life and bonding together to build up the community such as Advent and Lenten Recollection, Christmas party, sport fest, summer camp as well as reaching out to others like visiting the elderly, special children and giving food for the homeless families.
