Living Lent with Saint Marie Eugenie

We invite you to immerse yourself in the profound spiritual teaching of Saint Marie Eugenie through her Chapter Instructions on Lent. As you know, these instructions are the talks our foundress gave to the sisters to deepen various themes of faith and spiritual life according to the Assumption’s charism. Her teaching remains relevant today, speaking to both sisters and lay members of Assumption Together.

Divided into several volumes spanning from 1845 to 1894, these texts invite us to reflect deeply on how to live Lent with fidelity, generosity, and love. Each instruction reflects a desire for greater closeness with God, an inner transformation, and a commitment to living fraternity and the Kingdom.

We encourage you to read and meditate on each instruction attentively, to discover how to live Saint Marie Eugenie’s teachings more fully.
