Province of Spain: DaliAsuntillos, 10 years of wonderful madness

This year we celebrate 10 years of DaliAsuntillos, an adventure that began almost without us realising it, when that “new nun” arriving in Dalías suggested something that seemed crazy to us at the time… and which has now become one of the best decisions our community has ever made.

What started as a small group has ended up transforming lives, igniting hearts and creating a true family. A decade later, we are still here: growing, accompanying and celebrating faith in the spirit of the Assumption.

A story that began with a “yes”

That first yes opened up an unexpected path. No one imagined then that it would:

• completely change the lives of those involved,
• generate so much joy,
• and form a community so alive and united.

Watching our children grow—first as participants and today many as junior leaders—is an immense gift. They are proof that DaliAsuntillos transforms, accompanies and leaves a lasting mark.

A space that transforms lives

For children, teenagers and families, DaliAsuntillos is much more than monthly activities:

• A place of disconnection, a break from daily routine where you can simply be yourself.
• A supportive community: prayer that is sung, shared and told… lived in a way that touches the heart.
• A space for encounter, where deep friendships are formed, including with those who come from other towns to take part.
• A path of growth, where many discover values, confidence, joy and a faith lived naturally.

Our participants and junior leaders best explain what DaliAsuntillos truly is:

Each testimony is a window into what this initiative represents: welcome, growth, faith, service, joy and community.

A project that continues to grow Today, DaliAsuntillos is a true driving force for the future of children and young people in Dalías. Its richness lies in the people: those who organise, those who participate and those who accompany the project through the charism of the Assumption. And even as we celebrate ten years, we feel that this is only the beginning.

Looking ahead to the next ten years… and beyond We want to keep walking together. We want to add another zero to this 10. Because when something does so much good, when it creates a family and fills lives with meaning, it deserves to keep growing. Thank you to everyone who is part of this story. Thank you for every yes, for every shared dream, and for every child who has found a safe place here.
